Career Development: Our one-to-one process

For a full understanding of our coaching methodology, just click the link below. This coaching methodology is also utilised within career coaching. Although there is normally a mixture of individual-specific requirements, there do seem to be two recurring themes:

  • The first is to analyse what is holding back the individual from achieving their potential within the internal career market. Often it is simply packaging (CV, track record, competencies and interview).
  • The second is that, on occasion, a senior manager may no longer ‘fit’ the needs of the business. Fears of leaving, whether practical (such as pension not yet peaking) or psychologically-based leaving, holding on whilst being totally unmotivated within the business itself. This is a lose-lose situation and one that cannot be tolerated by either party. Our role here is to define what the individual actually wants/needs, the successes they have made, benchmark and motivate them, and aid the process of leaving the business for something better for the individual. This is a low-cost solution to the business and a positive solution to the individual.
